Driving style

The ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox is aimed at Xbox racers in titles such as Forza Motorsport, F1 or EA Sports WRC who want to run their own rim, such as a round classic or rally rim, on a Fanatec base that is not Xbox-licensed by itself. Traxion notes it shares the V2 upgrades of magnetic paddles and new electronics, and SimRacingCockpit.gg recommends the ClubSport Universal Hub for Xbox over the Podium Hub for GT-style builds because of its extra controls. Best for Xbox and PC drivers building a custom wheel on a compatible Fanatec base, less suited for PlayStation-only players or ClubSport DD owners, since Fanatec does not list those bases.

Build quality

Premium build

It shares the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 hardware: a CNC-machined aluminum paddle module cage with anodized aluminum paddle plates and neodymium magnets, modular button clusters and an LED display, with upgraded firmware-updatable electronics that Traxion highlights as one of the V2 changes.

Software

With a compatible Fanatec base, the hub makes the setup work on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, though Fanatec warns some features may not be supported on Xbox and full functionality is only guaranteed on PC. The Tuning Menu button, FunkySwitch and LED display give on-wheel access to force feedback settings on any platform, and firmware updates are handled by the Windows-only Fanatec App.

Frequently asked questions

Which Fanatec bases does the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox make Xbox compatible?

Fanatec lists the Podium DD, Podium DD1, DD2 and DD1 PS4, ClubSport Wheel Base V2/V2.5, CSL Elite bases, CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro. When connected with this hub, those bases work on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The ClubSport DD and DD+ are not on Fanatec's list for this product.

Do all features work on Xbox?

Not necessarily. Fanatec warns that some features might not be supported on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S and that functionality can be limited by the console and game support; full functionality is only guaranteed on PC.

How do the controls feel on the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox?

It uses the same ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module as the standard V2 hub, with neodymium magnets and aluminum paddle plates. Traxion reports the V2 generation replaced the original mechanical shifters with magnetic paddles, and Sim Racing Manual describes a short, consistent throw.

Is the Xbox version built differently from the standard ClubSport Universal Hub V2?

The hardware is the same family: magnetic paddle module, four button clusters, FunkySwitch and LED display, with upgraded firmware-updatable electronics. The difference is the Xbox licensing; Traxion reported it launched $20 above the standard version.

ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox or Podium Hub?

The Podium Hub is not Xbox compatible. SimRacingCockpit.gg recommends the ClubSport Universal Hub for Xbox over the Podium Hub for GT-style wheels, since it has room for a rotary encoder, more button modules and a tuning button.

What warranty does the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox have?

Fanatec advertises a 3-year warranty on all products on its US store. It updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet, so check the current terms before purchase.

How much does the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox cost and where can I buy it?

On October 13, 2026 Fanatec listed it at $399.99 on its US store, with the QR2 Wheel-Side included; the product page was not available on the Fanatec EU store. Traxion reported a launch price of $349.95 for the Xbox version, $20 above the non-Xbox hub at the time.
