Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance

318 mm GT3-style rim with rubber grips, Button Module Endurance and Advanced Paddle Module

Description

The Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance combines the ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance with the Podium Button Module Endurance, Podium Advanced Paddle Module and Podium Hub. Fanatec built the GT3-style rim to give its Podium endurance setup, used on the Fanatec GT World Challenge esports simulators, the shape of a modern GT3 wheel.

Rim. The 318 mm rim is CNC-machined from black anodized aluminum with overmolded rubber grips (50 Shore A) that Fanatec says feel similar to the Podium BMW M4 GT3. Ten blank sticker sheets are included to print custom faceplate graphics.

Podium Button Module Endurance. Real carbon fiber front plate with internal metal reinforcement. Inputs: 10 buttons, two 2-way toggle switches, two 12-way multi-position switches with endless encoder mode, a 7-way FunkySwitch and a 2-axis analog stick. Outputs: nine RGB RevLEDs, six RGB FlagLEDs and a 2.7" 256x64 OLED with Tuning Menu and Intelligent Telemetry Mode (ITM).

Podium Advanced Paddle Module. Four magnetic paddles and two analog Hall-sensor paddles with carbon fiber plates and a CNC aluminum cage, supporting bite-point dual clutch, clutch/handbrake, brake/throttle and mappable axis modes.

Podium Hub. Gold-anodized aluminum monocoque with DataPort-C. QR2 Wheel-Side included, packaged separately.

Compatibility. Requires a Fanatec wheel base (not included): Podium DD1/DD2, ClubSport V2.5, ClubSport DD/DD+, CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, CSL Elite+ and CSL Elite V1.1. Works on Windows PC and on PlayStation with a PlayStation-licensed base. Not compatible with Xbox; Fanatec sells a ClubSport GT3 Endurance for Xbox with the Xbox Universal Hub V2.

Driving style

The Podium GT3 Endurance pairs the 318 mm CNC aluminium GT3 rim with the Podium Button Module Endurance, whose real carbon fibre front plate carries 10 buttons, two toggle switches, two 12-way multi-position switches and a FunkySwitch in the layout of a class-leading endurance GT3 car. It is made for long, focused stints in Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing and IMSA or WEC-style racing where every control must be reachable without moving your hands. Best for GT3 and endurance racing; less suited for rally, drifting and formula cars.

Build quality

Premium build

The button module is the centrepiece: a real carbon fibre front plate over internal metal reinforcement, mounted on a rubber-coated glass fibre reinforced backplate, a full-scale replica of a class-leading endurance GT3 wheel. The 318 mm rim beneath is black anodised CNC aluminium with 50 Shore A overmoulded rubber grips, and blank sticker sheets let you personalise the layout. Metal, carbon and firm rubber everywhere you touch, with no cosmetic plastic in the structure.

Software

The Podium GT3 Endurance has no driver of its own: firmware, Tuning Menu and force feedback settings run through the Fanatec wheel base it mounts to, configured in the Fanatec App for Windows PC, which also delivers firmware updates for the base and the wheel modules. On console, compatibility follows the base: pair it with a PlayStation-licensed base for PS4 and PS5, while PC works with any Fanatec base. The module's switches and encoders expose telemetry and car functions through the Fanatec SDK in supported titles. Telemetry and inputs reach the wheel through the Fanatec SDK in supported games, FanaLab programs LED behaviour, and SimHub can drive displays with custom dashboards.

Frequently asked questions

Which wheel bases and consoles does the Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance work with?

It needs a Fanatec wheel base. Fanatec lists Podium DD1/DD2, ClubSport V2.5, ClubSport DD/DD+, CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, CSL Elite+ and CSL Elite V1.1. It works on Windows PC and on PlayStation with a PlayStation-licensed base. It is not compatible with Xbox; the ClubSport GT3 Endurance for Xbox uses the Xbox Universal Hub V2 instead of the Podium Hub.

Can I use the GT3 Endurance rim without the button module?

Yes. BSIMRacing reports the rim ships with 25 mm bolts for use with the Podium Button Module Endurance and 16 mm bolts to mount it directly on a Podium Hub or ClubSport Universal Hub without it. A hub is always required to fit it to a Fanatec base.

How do the rubber grips feel compared with suede or leather?

The 318 mm CNC aluminum rim uses overmolded rubber grips with 50 Shore A hardness, which Fanatec says feel similar to the Podium BMW M4 GT3 and are shaped for comfort in long races. Unlike suede rims, Fanatec does not recommend gloves for it. BSIMRacing lists the rim at 700 g.

Are there known issues with the Button Module Endurance?

On the Fanatec forum, a user reported that after swapping wheels the BME's ITM and LEDs went dark and the display only showed the Podium Hub until Active Devices was refreshed in FanaLab. Updating driver, firmware and FanaLab did not fix it, and no official solution was posted in that thread.

How does it compare with the Podium 911 GT3 R and the Podium BMW M4 GT3?

It shares the same Button Module Endurance, Advanced Paddle Module and Podium Hub as the Podium 911 GT3 R at the same US price; the difference is the rim: a 318 mm GT3 shape with rubber grips instead of a 320 mm Porsche replica in suede or leather. Fanatec positions it between the CSL Elite McLaren GT3 V2 and the far more expensive Podium BMW M4 GT3.

Is the Podium GT3 Endurance good value?

Fanatec US lists it at $774.99 against a combined component price of $869.96. At its announcement the reaction on OverTake was largely negative about design and price, with commenters noting that the rim only makes sense with a Podium Hub, button module and paddle module. BSIMRacing reported a launch bundle price of 579.95 EUR; the EU store now lists 649.95 EUR.

What warranty does Fanatec offer on this wheel?

Since June 3, 2025, Fanatec offers a three-year limited warranty on Fanatec-branded products bought from Fanatec or authorized retailers, plus a 30-day return window. Items in a bundle are covered individually, and wear, misuse or unauthorized modifications are excluded.

What can I customize on the display, LEDs and faceplate?

The 2.7-inch OLED shows the Tuning Menu and clutch bite point, and Intelligent Telemetry Mode offers switchable game telemetry layouts. RevLED and FlagLED behavior is user-defined in FanaLab on PC. The rim includes 10 blank sticker sheets so you can print your own faceplate graphics.
