Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance

318 mm GT3 rim machined for the Podium Button Module Endurance

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance lets you build your own GT3 wheel around the Podium Button Module Endurance.

Rim. The 318 mm rim is CNC-machined, black anodized aluminum with overmolded rubber grips of 50 Shore A hardness, similar in feel to the Podium Steering Wheel BMW M4 GT3 and shaped for long races. It weighs 700 g.

Endurance-ready. Precision CNC-machined holes align with the buttons, toggle switches and rotaries of the Podium Button Module Endurance (sold separately). Longer 25 mm bolts are included for the module's depth; mounting the rim directly to a hub without the module requires shorter 16 mm bolts. Ten printable sticker sheets let you design custom faceplates.

Compatibility. Podium Button Module Endurance; ClubSport Universal Hub for Xbox, V2 and V2 for Xbox; Podium Hub. A Podium Hub or ClubSport Universal Hub is required on a Fanatec base. The rim has no electronics.

Driving style

The GT3 Endurance rim is the base for a Podium Button Module Endurance build. With the module's buttons, toggles, rotaries and display, it suits GT3 and endurance racing in Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing IMSA and Le Mans Ultimate, where pit, TC, ABS and engine maps are changed mid-stint. The 318 mm size and rubber grips stay comfortable over long sessions.

It fits drivers building a modular Podium-style GT3 wheel on a ClubSport or Podium hub. Best for GT3 and endurance racing; less suited for drifting and rally, and only fully useful with the Button Module Endurance.

Build quality

Mid-range build

CNC-machined, black anodized aluminum with overmolded 50 Shore A rubber grips gives a stiff, light rim. The precision-cut holes align cleanly with the Podium Button Module Endurance. On its own it is simple and solid; the premium feel depends on pairing it with the button module.

Software

The GT3 Endurance rim has no electronics and needs no software. With the Podium Button Module Endurance, buttons, switches and display are configured through the wheel base in the Fanatec App on Windows PC; otherwise inputs come from the hub.

Platform support follows the hub, module and base: Xbox needs an Xbox hub, PlayStation a PlayStation-licensed base. Fanatec provides a sticker-sheet template and sample graphics for custom faceplates.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to use the GT3 Endurance rim?

A Podium Hub or ClubSport Universal Hub is required on a Fanatec base. The rim is designed around the Podium Button Module Endurance (sold separately), which fits between hub and rim.

Can I mount it without the Button Module Endurance?

Yes, but the included 25 mm bolts are for the module's depth. Bolting the rim directly to a Podium Hub or ClubSport Universal Hub requires shorter 16 mm bolts, which Fanatec notes you would need separately.

How do the GT3-style grips feel?

Fanatec compares the overmolded rubber grips to the Podium BMW M4 GT3. Reviewers of the same grip on the ClubSport GT3 rim report strong hold with no slipping and good comfort over 40-minute stints.

Do the rubber grips wear?

The grips are overmolded 50 Shore A rubber. A SimRacingCockpit reviewer expects this rubber to outlast thin soft-touch coatings, and it does not need gloves the way suede does.

GT3 Endurance or ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3?

They share the 318 mm shape and grips. The GT3 Endurance is machined for the Podium Button Module Endurance; the cheaper ClubSport Wheel Rim GT includes a bracket to move the ClubSport Universal Hub's own button clusters.

Is it good value?

The rim costs $189.99 at Fanatec US. SimRacingHub recommends the Podium GT3 Endurance setup for serious GT3 and endurance racing; the full build also needs the Podium Button Module Endurance.

Can I customize the faceplate?

Yes. Ten printable sticker sheets and a squeegee are included, and Fanatec provides a template and sample graphics in the documentation section.

Is rim wear covered by warranty?

Fanatec states that extra wear on rim materials caused by gloves is not covered under warranty.
