Driving style

The 320 Alcantara is a round 320 mm rim for GT, touring and road cars in ACC, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport. Alcantara gives grip for long stints, and with the Podium Button Module Endurance it becomes a full endurance wheel.

It suits Fanatec hub owners who want an all-round rim with an Alcantara feel. Best for GT, endurance and road racing; less suited for formula cars and for drivers who prefer bare hands on leather.

Build quality

Mid-range build

Brushed, anodized aluminum is wrapped in genuine Alcantara with a leather center stripe and contrast stitching. With no electronics it is sturdy and simple. Alcantara needs care against sweat, and glove wear is not covered by Fanatec's warranty.

Software

The ClubSport Wheel Rim 320 Alcantara has no electronics and needs no software. Buttons, paddles and displays come from the Fanatec hub or the optional Podium Button Module Endurance, with settings in the Fanatec App on Windows PC.

Platform support follows the hub and base: Xbox requires an Xbox hub such as the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox, and PlayStation requires a PlayStation-licensed base. On PC, SimHub and other tools work with the hub's inputs as usual.

Frequently asked questions

Which hubs and modules does the 320 Alcantara fit?

Fanatec lists the Podium Hub, ClubSport Universal Hub (all versions), CSL Universal Hub and the Podium Button Module Endurance. A hub is required on a Fanatec wheel base.

Does it work on consoles?

The rim has no electronics. Console support comes from the hub and base: an Xbox hub for Xbox and a PlayStation-licensed base for PlayStation.

What is the 320 Alcantara best for?

Fanatec says the 320 mm diameter suits many disciplines. It works for GT, touring and road cars, and the round shape allows hand-over-hand steering.

How durable is the Alcantara?

Overtake.gg commenters describe Alcantara as more durable and easier to clean than suede, but several sim racers report sweat ages it quickly and wear gloves. Fanatec advises a microfiber cloth with lukewarm water and no chemicals.

Is Alcantara wear covered by warranty?

Fanatec states that additional wear on rim materials and stitching caused by gloves is not covered under warranty.

320 Alcantara or 320 leather?

Same 320 mm frame. The Alcantara version weighs 839 g with white accents; the leather 320 weighs 902 g with light grey accents and tolerates bare hands better.

Rim alone or the ClubSport Steering Wheel 320 Alcantara?

The rim costs $179.99 at Fanatec US for owners with a hub. The ClubSport Steering Wheel 320 Alcantara combines it with a ClubSport hub and is listed at $514.99.

Can I add buttons and a display?

Yes. It is designed to fit the Podium Button Module Endurance (sold separately). Without it, all inputs come from your Fanatec hub.
