Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Rim Sparco Karting

Licensed Sparco KG 345 replica: 350 mm Alcantara karting rim

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Rim Sparco Karting is an officially licensed replica of the Sparco KG 345, designed specifically for karting and remarkably light, like the original.

Materials. Brushed and anodized aluminum rim covered in genuine Alcantara with white cross-stitching. The large 350 mm diameter helps manage the high steering forces of a go-kart, and it weighs just 593 g.

Mounting. Fits the CSL Universal Hub, CSL Universal Hub V2, ClubSport Universal Hub (all versions) and Podium Hub with no drilling, using a 3-bolt mount like the original. Unlike the other Sparco rims, it is not listed as compatible with the Podium Button Module Rally. It has no electronics; a hub is required.

Driving style

The Sparco Karting rim replicates the Sparco KG 345, a 350 mm kart wheel. It is made for karting sims such as KartKraft and Kart Racing Pro, and karting content in rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa, where a large rim helps with the heavy, direct steering of a go-kart.

It fits Fanatec hub owners who want an authentic karting setup. Best for karting; less suited for GT, formula and rally, where other rims fit the car better.

Build quality

Premium build

An officially licensed Sparco replica in brushed, anodized aluminum with genuine Alcantara and white cross-stitching. It is light at 593 g and has no electronics. The licensed design puts it above standard ClubSport rims; Alcantara still needs care against sweat.

Software

The Sparco Karting rim has no electronics and needs no software. Inputs come from the Fanatec hub, configured through the wheel base in the Fanatec App on Windows PC.

Platform support follows the hub and base: Xbox requires an Xbox hub such as the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox, and PlayStation requires a PlayStation-licensed base.

Frequently asked questions

Which hubs does the Sparco Karting rim fit?

Fanatec lists the CSL Universal Hub, CSL Universal Hub V2, ClubSport Universal Hub (all versions) and Podium Hub. It mounts with three M5x16 bolts and a hub is required.

Does it work with the Podium Button Module Rally?

No. GTPlanet notes the karting rim is the one Sparco replica that does not work with the Podium Button Module Rally, and Overtake.gg commenters point out its three-hole mount, like the original KG 345, limits button module options.

Why is a karting rim so large?

Fanatec says the 350 mm diameter helps with the very high steering forces of a go-kart. Despite its size it weighs only 593 g, like the original Sparco KG 345.

How durable is the Alcantara?

Overtake.gg users consider Alcantara more durable than suede but report sweat ages it, and many wear light gloves. Fanatec advises cleaning with a microfiber cloth and lukewarm water, without chemicals.

Is Alcantara wear covered by warranty?

Fanatec states extra wear on rim materials and stitching caused by gloves is not covered under warranty.

How does it compare with the real Sparco KG 345?

It is an officially licensed replica. An Overtake.gg commenter notes it is slightly smaller than Sparco's KG 345 and priced similarly to the original.

Is it worth it?

At $179.99 in the US it is a niche rim for karting sims. It makes most sense if you regularly drive karts and already own a Fanatec hub.

Does the rim need software?

No. It has no electronics; inputs and settings come from the hub and wheel base in the Fanatec App.
