Driving style

The Podium Pedals Formula are built for drivers who left-foot brake in single-seaters and prototypes, with a short, stiff, highly tunable load cell brake and only two pedals by default. OC Racing calls them the best pedals Fanatec has ever made with an excellent brake once tuned, though not category-defining, while BoxThisLap highlights the Compression Control System for shaping brake feel. Best for formula, open-wheel and prototype drivers in a high-end Fanatec setup, less suited for drivers of H-pattern road cars who need a clutch out of the box.

Build quality

Premium build

The brake pedal is forged aluminum with a load cell rated over 200 kg, the plates and heel cups are carbon fiber, and the throttle uses a factory-calibrated Hall sensor. OC Racing praises the overall quality but reports stripped adjustment bolts and slight flex in the brake under heavy load.

Software

Pedal curves, deadzones and brake settings are configured in the Windows-only Fanatec App and saved in the pedals' internal memory, so the same setup carries over to PlayStation and Xbox through a compatible Fanatec base. RJ12 and USB-C can be connected simultaneously, and the pedals work with the CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, ClubSport DD/DD+, Podium DD1/DD2 and Podium DD (2026). SimHub and similar PC tools can read the pedals over USB.

Frequently asked questions

Which wheel bases are compatible with the Podium Pedals Formula?

Fanatec lists the CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, ClubSport DD and DD+, Podium DD1/DD2 and the 2026 Podium DD. The pedals connect by RJ12 and USB-C, and both can be connected at the same time; on consoles they work on the platforms the base and wheel are licensed for.

How does the Podium Pedals Formula brake feel?

The brake uses a load cell rated over 200 kg, calibrated to 150 kg, with the Compression Control System to shape stiffness. OC Racing calls the brake excellent once tuned, and BoxThisLap highlights how much the system lets you adjust the feel.

Are there known issues with the Podium Pedals Formula?

OC Racing reports stripped adjustment bolts and slight flex in the brake under heavy braking. They also note the set has no haptics yet (only mounts) and no clutch out of the box.

Are the Podium Pedals Formula better than the ClubSport Pedals V3?

OC Racing calls them the best pedals Fanatec has ever made, though not category-defining. Compared with the 3-pedal ClubSport V3, they offer a stiffer, higher-capacity forged brake and onboard curves, but have only 2 pedals and no vibration motors.

What warranty do the Podium Pedals Formula have?

Fanatec updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet. Coverage depends on the regional store, so check the current terms on the Fanatec product page for your region before purchase.

How much do the Podium Pedals Formula really cost, and are they available?

On October 13, 2026 Fanatec listed them at $699.99 (US) and €699.95 (EU), out of stock in both stores. OC Racing notes the optional mounting plate adds about $200, bringing a typical setup to around $900.

Do pedal curves work on PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes. Curves and deadzones are set in the Fanatec App and saved in the pedals' internal memory, so they also apply when the pedals are used on a console through a compatible Fanatec base.

Can I add a clutch to the Podium Pedals Formula?

Yes. Fanatec offers a separate clutch module, along with a mounting plate with heel rest and GT pedal plates. OC Racing lists the lack of an included clutch as a drawback.
