Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3

Full aluminum 3-pedal set with 90 kg load cell brake and throttle/brake vibration motors

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 are a full CNC-machined aluminum 3-pedal set built around an adjustable load cell brake rated up to 90 kg. Throttle and clutch use contactless magnetic Hall sensors, and all three pedals report at 12-bit (4096 steps) resolution.

Adjustability. Brake stiffness and travel are tool-free adjustable, and the set ships with D-shape pedal plates and pedal extensions so pedal faces can be repositioned. Optional upgrades include the Damper Kit and the Brake Performance Kit.

Haptics. Vibration motors on the throttle and brake can signal wheel spin and lock-ups in supported games.

Connection. Connect by RJ12 to a Fanatec wheel base (works on the platforms that base supports) or by USB directly to a PC. A dedicated port accepts a Fanatec handbrake. The V3 is not compatible with the ClubSport USB Adapter.

Driving style

The ClubSport Pedals V3 suit drivers who want a full 3-pedal set with a real load cell brake for GT, touring car and rally titles, especially those who use a clutch and value haptic cues from the throttle and brake vibration motors. Flow Racers rates the set highly for value, and its long, progressive brake travel works well in road cars and GT machinery. Drivers who want a short, rock-hard formula-style brake will want the Brake Performance Kit, since Fanatec forum users report the stock brake can feel travel-based. Best for GT and multi-discipline drivers on a Fanatec ecosystem, less suited for those chasing a stiff formula brake out of the box.

Build quality

Premium build

The V3 is fully CNC-machined aluminum with a load cell brake, contactless Hall sensors on throttle and clutch, and vibration motors on throttle and brake. Flow Racers scores its build 7/10 and design 8/10, praising the solid metal construction but noting that sensors may degrade after years of use and that the pedals share one base and cannot be mounted individually.

Software

On PC the pedals are configured through the Windows-only Fanatec App, either connected directly by USB or through a Fanatec wheel base, where brake force, calibration and vibration settings are adjusted. On consoles they connect by RJ12 to a Fanatec base and work on the platforms that base and wheel are licensed for. Throttle and brake vibration require game support, and community tools such as SimHub can drive pedal effects on PC.

Frequently asked questions

Do the ClubSport Pedals V3 work on PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes, when connected by RJ12 to a Fanatec wheel base: they work on the consoles that base and wheel support (for PlayStation a PlayStation-licensed base, for Xbox an Xbox-licensed Fanatec wheel). Connected directly by USB they work on PC only. Note the V3 is not compatible with the ClubSport USB Adapter.

Why does the V3 brake feel like it works on travel instead of pressure?

The V3 brake is a load cell, but its springs and elastomer allow long travel, so many users perceive it as position-based. Fanatec forum users explain that the optional Brake Performance Kit stiffens the brake and shortens travel, making the pressure-based feel more obvious. Stiffening the stock spring and raising the brake force setting also helps.

How durable are the ClubSport Pedals V3?

The pedals are full aluminum and reviewers describe the construction as solid. Flow Racers notes that the sensors may degrade after several years of use, and the pedals share a common base so they cannot be mounted individually. Lubricating pivots with the included grease is part of normal maintenance.

How do the ClubSport Pedals V3 compare with Moza CRP, Thrustmaster T-LCM or Heusinkveld Sprint?

Flow Racers compares the V3 with the Moza CRP, Thrustmaster T-LCM and Heusinkveld Sprint: the V3 offers three pedals, a 90 kg load cell and vibration motors at a competitive price, while the Heusinkveld Sprint is considered the more premium, stiffer option. The T-LCM is cheaper but a lower-end design.

What warranty do the ClubSport Pedals V3 have?

Fanatec updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet. Coverage and return windows depend on the regional store you buy from, so check the current terms on the Fanatec product page for your region before purchase.

Are the ClubSport Pedals V3 worth it?

Flow Racers scores value 9/10, citing the load cell brake, all-metal build and vibration motors for the price. The main caveat is that the Damper Kit and Brake Performance Kit, which many owners add for a stiffer brake, cost extra. On October 13, 2026 the set was listed at $429.99 in the US and €329.95 in the EU Fanatec stores.

Can I adjust brake force and vibration on the V3?

Yes. Brake force, calibration and the throttle/brake vibration intensity are set in the Fanatec App on PC or the wheel base tuning menu; brake stiffness and travel are also mechanically adjustable without tools. Vibration effects need game support or third-party software such as SimHub.

Is the throttle on the V3 too light?

Some reviewers find the V3 throttle light compared with the brake. Flow Racers lists it among the cons; the set includes stronger springs that can be fitted to make the throttle and clutch heavier.
