Fanatec ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp

Metal desk clamp for ClubSport Shifter and SQ, also usable with the handbrake adapter

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp mounts a ClubSport Shifter or Shifter SQ to a desk or table without a cockpit.

Mounting. The clamp attaches to the shifter's T-slot rails for endless height adjustment, and the shifter can sit on the left or right side, or be screwed on top for maximum height. Two metal screws lock it to the desk, which can be up to 77 mm thick.

Handbrake. With the ClubSport Handbrake Clamp Adapter (sold separately), it can also hold a ClubSport Handbrake or Handbrake V1.5; Fanatec notes the Handbrake V2 is not compatible. The shifter can stay on top while the handbrake is on the front.

Compatibility. ClubSport Shifter, ClubSport Shifter SQ and SQ V1.5. Fanatec also suggests it to mount the Shifter SQ to the CSL Wheel Stand in a more ergonomic position.

Driving style

The Shifter Table Clamp is for desk racers who want an H-pattern or sequential shifter next to their wheel for historic cars, road cars, drifting and rally in Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2, EA SPORTS WRC and Gran Turismo 7, without buying a cockpit.

It suits ClubSport Shifter owners racing at a desk or on a wheel stand. Best for desk setups; less needed if you already have a cockpit with a shifter mount.

Frequently asked questions

Which shifters does the table clamp fit?

The ClubSport Shifter, ClubSport Shifter SQ and Shifter SQ V1.5, in both H-pattern and sequential modes.

How thick can my desk be?

Up to 77 mm. Fanatec advises making sure both clamp feet sit firmly against the desk's front edge.

Can I mount a handbrake too?

Yes, with the ClubSport Handbrake Clamp Adapter (sold separately), for the ClubSport Handbrake and Handbrake V1.5. Fanatec states the ClubSport Handbrake V2 is not compatible. The shifter can stay on top.

How do I adjust the height?

Front mounting uses the shifter's T-slot rails with T-nuts and M5 bolts for stepless height; top mounting with four countersunk M6 bolts gives maximum height.

Is it stable?

Fanatec describes the metal clamp as rock solid with no play, locked by two metal screws.

Table clamp or a cockpit?

Fanatec presents the clamp as an alternative to a cockpit such as the CSL Cockpit or ClubSport GT Cockpit, which offer dedicated shifter mounts.

Is it worth it?

At $49.99 in the US (€59.95 in Europe) it is a cheap way to desk-mount a ClubSport shifter compared with buying a cockpit.

Does it need software?

No. It is a mechanical mount; the shifter is configured through the Fanatec base or USB Adapter.
