Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit (Black)

Tool-free adjustable 50 mm steel-tube cockpit with onboard VESA monitor mount, matte black

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit (Black) is a full-size sim racing cockpit built on 50 mm diameter round steel tubes in a triangle-based frame, finished in matte black.

Tool-free adjustment. Seat, wheel base and pedals adjust without tools, moving from an upright road-car position to a semi-reclined formula-style position or anywhere in between.

Monitor mount. An onboard, adjustable VESA 100x100 mm mount takes 32" to 49" ultrawide monitors. Free-standing monitor stands and a triple-monitor expansion kit are available separately.

Clean build. Cable management openings in the frame and a passively ventilated power brick holder in the heel plate.

Compatibility. Works with Fanatec wheel bases (DD1/DD2, ClubSport DD/DD+, CSL DD, GT DD Pro, CSW V2/V2.5, CSL Elite) and most third-party direct drive bases, Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels, plus most pedal sets. Shifters and handbrakes need the optional GT Cockpit Shifter Mount. Compatible with most third-party racing seats.

Not included: seat, racing wheel, pedals, monitor stand, keyboard holder, monitors, console/PC and speakers. Assembled size: 1675 x 775 x 725 mm (L x W x H).

Driving style

The ClubSport GT Cockpit suits drivers who switch between GT, touring and open-wheel cars, or households where several drivers share one rig, thanks to tool-free seat, wheel and pedal adjustment from an upright GT position to a semi-reclined formula position. OC Racing found no meaningful flex at full torque on a Moza R12 and called the seat exceptionally comfortable, while Boosted Media scored adjustability 9/10 but reported wheel-deck and pedal-tray flex with higher-torque bases. Best for multi-discipline and shared-rig racers in the Fanatec ecosystem, less suited for drivers running very high-torque bases and hydraulic pedals who want maximum stiffness and modularity, where aluminum profile rigs remain the reference.

Build quality

Mid-range build

The frame uses 50 mm round steel tubes in a triangle-based design with powder-coated finish and integrated cable routing. OC Racing reports the main frame matches aluminum profile rigs for stiffness, while Boosted Media rates build quality 6/10, citing painted threads, misaligned captive nuts and a thin steel wheel deck plate that flexes with higher-torque bases.

Software

The ClubSport GT Cockpit needs no software or drivers; it is a mechanical frame that works with any platform the mounted wheel base and pedals support, including PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Fanatec's online product configurator can be used to plan a complete rig with compatible bases, pedals, seats and accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Is a seat included with the ClubSport GT Cockpit?

No. Fanatec lists the seat, wheel, pedals, monitor stand and monitors as not included. You can add the GT Cockpit Seat ($349.99 on the US store on October 13, 2026) or use most third-party racing seats with a standard 290 mm bolt pattern.

Which wheel bases and pedals fit the ClubSport GT Cockpit?

Fanatec lists its DD1/DD2, ClubSport DD/DD+, CSL DD, GT DD Pro and belt bases, Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels, and most third-party direct drive bases. Most pedal sets fit; CSL Elite Pedals V1/V2 need two extra holes drilled. Shifters and handbrakes require the optional GT Cockpit Shifter Mount.

Does the ClubSport GT Cockpit flex with direct drive bases?

Reviews differ. OC Racing saw no meaningful flex in the wheel mount at full torque on a Moza R12 and a solid pedal deck under heavy braking. Boosted Media found the main frame rigid but reported flex in the thin steel wheel deck and pedal tray, especially with higher-torque bases.

Are there known assembly problems with the ClubSport GT Cockpit?

Boosted Media reports painted threads and misaligned captive nuts that added significant time to its build, and says about half the owners it heard from had similar issues. Both Boosted Media and OC Racing praise the clear instructions, and OC Racing found assembly faster than aluminum profile rigs.

ClubSport GT Cockpit or an aluminum profile rig?

OC Racing places it alongside the Trak Racer TR160, Sim-Lab GT1 Evo and Next Level Racing GT Elite for stiffness, with faster setup, more comfort and a cleaner look, while profile rigs are lighter and more modular. Boosted Media suggests a simple aluminum profile rig for high-end gear and long-term expandability.

What warranty does the ClubSport GT Cockpit have?

The Fanatec US product page shows a 3-year warranty. Fanatec updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet, so check the current terms for your region before purchase.

How much does a complete ClubSport GT Cockpit setup cost?

On October 13, 2026 Fanatec listed the cockpit at $1,000.00 in the US and €914.95 in the EU. Boosted Media notes it reaches $1,349.99 with the seat and around $2,000 fully equipped; OC Racing estimates about $2,180 with the free-standing monitor stand and considers the add-ons overpriced.

Which accessories can I add to the ClubSport GT Cockpit?

Fanatec offers a PC tray, upper accessory mounts, shifter mount kit, keyboard tray, DD front mount bracket, inverted pedal mount brackets, a free-standing monitor stand with overhead mount and a triple-monitor expansion kit. Boosted Media notes third-party accessory mounts do not fit easily, which limits mixing brands.
