Driving style

The Handbrake Clamp Adapter is for drift and rally drivers who race at a desk and want a ClubSport handbrake for Assetto Corsa and CarX drifting, EA SPORTS WRC, DiRT Rally 2.0 and rallycross. Combined with the Shifter Table Clamp, it puts both shifter and handbrake beside the wheel.

It suits owners of the original or V1.5 ClubSport Handbrake without a cockpit. Best for desk-based drift and rally setups; not usable with the ClubSport Handbrake V2.

Build quality

Entry-level build

A simple pair of metal brackets with mounting screws and slotted holes. It is basic mounting hardware rather than a premium part.

The adapter has no software. The handbrake connects to a Fanatec base or to a PC through the ClubSport USB Adapter (in handbrake mode) and is calibrated in the Fanatec App.

Frequently asked questions

Which handbrakes does the adapter fit?

The ClubSport Handbrake and ClubSport Handbrake V1.5. Fanatec's table clamp guide states the ClubSport Handbrake V2 is not compatible.

Do I need the Shifter Table Clamp?

For desk mounting, yes; the clamp is sold separately. The adapter also fits the RennSport Cockpit Shifter Holder and any cockpit using the ClubSport Shifter's 4-hole pattern.

Can I mount the shifter and handbrake together?

Yes. With the handbrake on the front of the table clamp, the shifter can still be mounted on top, according to Fanatec's clamp guide.

Which screws are missing?

Screws for the horizontal mount to the table clamp are not included. Fanatec recommends suitable countersunk screws, such as those from the table clamp package.

Vertical or horizontal mounting?

Both are supported, and slotted holes allow position adjustment. Vertical suits a classic pull-up handbrake; horizontal can suit a push-pull drift style.

Is it sturdy?

It is a set of metal brackets that bolts the handbrake to the metal table clamp, which Fanatec describes as rock solid.

Adapter or a cockpit handbrake mount?

The adapter is for desk setups using the table clamp. Cockpits like the ClubSport GT Cockpit have their own shifter/handbrake mounts.

Is it good value?

It costs $39.99 at Fanatec US and โ‚ฌ29.95 in Europe. It is a low-cost way to desk-mount an older ClubSport handbrake.
