Fanatec CSL Pedals LC

Budget 3-pedal bundle: CSL Pedals plus Load Cell Kit, with USB or RJ12

Description

The Fanatec CSL Pedals LC bundle combines the CSL Pedals with the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit for a 3-pedal set: the load cell becomes the brake and the original Hall-sensor brake becomes the clutch.

Brake. A load cell brake with adjustable force starting at about 10 kg and a 65 Shore elastomer, reading pressure rather than travel for more consistent braking.

Throttle and clutch. Contactless 12-bit Hall sensors on steel pedals, each mounted individually on the heel plate.

Connection. The Load Cell Kit adds USB for direct PC use, alongside RJ12 to a Fanatec wheel base (works on the platforms that base supports, e.g. Gran Turismo DD Pro on PlayStation).

Driving style

The CSL Pedals LC suit budget-minded drivers who want load cell braking and a clutch from day one, across GT, touring car, rally and road-car titles with manual gearboxes. SimRaceReviews scores the set 8.9/10 and 96 for value, praising the load cell as the highlight, though it felt heavy at first and needed brake force lowered to about 70%, making throttle and clutch feel light by comparison. Best for beginners and intermediate drivers who want consistent braking on a tight budget, less suited for those who want a premium aluminum feel or a heavy throttle.

Build quality

Entry-level build

The bundle uses the steel CSL Pedals arms on a heel plate with pre-drilled holes, plastic pedal faces as standard, contactless Hall sensors on throttle and clutch and a load cell brake with a 65 Shore elastomer. SimRaceReviews reports no durability issues after months of use across several rigs beyond a throttle squeak fixed with lubricant, and notes no baseplate is included.

Software

Connected by USB, the pedals are calibrated and tuned in the Windows-only Fanatec App on PC, including brake force for the load cell. Through RJ12, settings are handled by the connected Fanatec wheel base's Tuning Menu and the pedals work on the consoles that base supports. Third-party tools such as SimHub can read the pedals on PC.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the CSL Pedals and the CSL Pedals LC?

The CSL Pedals LC is a bundle of the 2-pedal CSL Pedals plus the Load Cell Kit. The load cell becomes the brake, the original Hall-sensor brake becomes the clutch, and the kit adds a USB connection for direct PC use.

Do the CSL Pedals LC work on PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes, when connected by RJ12 to a Fanatec wheel base: Fanatec lists the Gran Turismo DD Pro among compatible bases for PlayStation, and Xbox needs an Xbox-licensed Fanatec wheel. By USB alone they work on PC.

How does the CSL Pedals LC load cell brake feel?

SimRaceReviews calls the load cell the highlight: it reads force rather than travel, which is more realistic. It felt too heavy at first and the reviewer lowered brake force to about 70%; its weight also makes the throttle and clutch feel light and somewhat unbalanced by comparison.

Are the CSL Pedals LC reliable?

SimRaceReviews reports no durability problems after several months on multiple rigs; a throttle squeak appeared after about a month and was fixed with lubricant at the hinge. The Hall sensors are contactless, avoiding the potentiometer wear of older CSL Elite pedals.

CSL Pedals LC or CSL Elite Pedals V2?

Both are 3-pedal sets with a load cell. The CSL Pedals LC is cheaper with steel arms, while the CSL Elite Pedals V2 use aluminum and a 90 kg load cell with dual-stage elastomers; long-term reviewers rate the Elite V2 brake as one of the best-value brakes available. On October 13, 2026 Fanatec US listed them at $239.98 and $329.99 respectively.

What warranty do the CSL Pedals LC have?

Fanatec updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet. Coverage depends on the regional store, so check the current terms on the Fanatec product page for your region before purchase.

Are the CSL Pedals LC good value?

SimRaceReviews scores them 8.9/10 with 96 for value for money and calls them the most budget-friendly pedals Fanatec has released. On October 13, 2026 the bundle was $239.98 in the US store and €179.90 in the EU store.

Can I adjust the load cell brake force?

Yes. Brake force is adjustable in the Fanatec App on PC (USB) or in the wheel base Tuning Menu (RJ12), with Fanatec quoting a minimum of about 10 kg. Reviewers suggest lowering it if the brake feels too heavy at first.
