Fanatec Podium Pedals Mounting Plate and Heel Rest

Mounting plate with T-nuts and adjustable heel rest for Podium Pedals

Description

The Fanatec Podium Pedals Mounting Plate and Heel Rest gives Podium Pedals a stable foundation. Integrated T-nuts and defined mounting positions simplify installation, and the heel rest is fully adjustable.

Design. Supports 2- and 3-pedal Podium configurations, with T-nuts for precise pedal spacing and integrated mounting points for the connection box. Fanatec lists a 4 mm-thick steel plate and an extruded aluminum mounting plate in its specifications. The removable heel rest adjusts for height, distance and angle.

Mounting. Uses the standard Fanatec pedal mounting pattern, so it fits CSL Cockpit / V1.5, ClubSport GT Cockpit, RennSport Cockpit and most third-party cockpits that support the pattern. A 10 mm wrench (not included) is needed for hard mounting, and M6 T-nuts (not included) for aluminum profile rigs.

Compatibility. Podium Pedals, Podium Pedals Sport and Podium Pedals Formula (without heel rest).

Driving style

The mounting plate is for Podium Pedals owners who want a rigid, adjustable base. A stable plate prevents flex under the high brake forces used in GT3, endurance and formula racing in iRacing, ACC, Le Mans Ultimate and F1 25, and the adjustable heel rest helps set a consistent seating position for long stints.

It suits drivers with Podium Pedals on a Fanatec or third-party cockpit. Best for high-force Podium setups; not needed for CSL or ClubSport pedal owners, which it does not target.

Build quality

Premium build

Fanatec specifies a 4 mm-thick steel plate and an extruded aluminum mounting plate, with preinstalled M6 T-nuts and a removable, adjustable heel rest. It is built for the forces of Podium Pedals. No independent long-term reviews are available yet.

Software

The mounting plate has no electronics and needs no software. Pedal settings are handled by the Podium Pedals and Fanatec App on Windows PC.

It is platform-agnostic: it works with any setup that uses Podium Pedals.

Frequently asked questions

Which pedals does the Podium Pedals Mounting Plate fit?

Podium Pedals, Podium Pedals Sport and Podium Pedals Formula. With the Podium Pedals Formula, the heel rest is not used.

Will it fit my cockpit?

It uses the standard Fanatec pedal mounting pattern. Fanatec lists the CSL Cockpit / V1.5, ClubSport GT Cockpit, RennSport Cockpit and most third-party cockpits supporting that pattern. Aluminum profile rigs need M6 T-nuts (not included).

What tools do I need?

An extra-long Allen key is included. A 10 mm wrench (not included) is needed to tighten the hard mount.

How adjustable is it?

Integrated T-nuts set pedal spacing, and the removable heel rest adjusts for height, distance and angle. It supports 2- and 3-pedal layouts and has mounting points for the connection box.

What is it made of?

Fanatec's specifications list a 4 mm-thick steel plate and also state the mounting plate is extruded aluminum; the exact split between parts is not detailed on the product page.

Do I need it if my cockpit already has a pedal deck?

Not necessarily. Podium Pedals bolt to the standard Fanatec pattern; the plate mainly adds T-nut spacing, connection box mounts and an adjustable heel rest for easier setup.

Is it worth the price?

It costs $199.99 at Fanatec US and €199.95 in Europe. It is mostly worth it for Podium Pedals owners without a dedicated pedal deck or who want an adjustable heel rest.

Does it need software?

No. It is a mechanical mount; pedal settings stay in the Podium Pedals and the Fanatec App.
