Fanatec CSL Pedals Tuning Kit

Anodized aluminum pedal plates for CSL Pedals, Clutch Kit and Load Cell Kit

Description

The Fanatec CSL Pedals Tuning Kit upgrades the look and feel of the CSL Pedals with anodized aluminum pedal plates.

Plates. Three two-part pedal plates: an anodized aluminum front plate and a white polymer backing plate that supports the curved front and forms a durable 'F' signet. They are height-adjustable and have less curvature than the standard faces.

Heel-and-toe. The throttle face is extended for more comfortable heel-and-toe technique.

Compatibility. CSL Pedals, CSL Pedals Clutch Kit and CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit.

Driving style

The Tuning Kit mainly helps drivers who heel-and-toe with an H-pattern shifter: the extended throttle face makes blipping easier while braking in historic cars, road cars and GT cars without paddle auto-blip in Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2, iRacing and rFactor 2. The flatter plates also change foot feel for everyday racing.

It suits CSL Pedals owners who want better ergonomics and a premium look. Best for manual-gearbox and heel-and-toe drivers; less important for paddle-shift GT3 and formula drivers.

Build quality

Mid-range build

Anodized aluminum front plates backed by durable white polymer give a sturdier, premium-looking face than the stock plates. It is a simple mechanical upgrade without electronics.

Software

The Tuning Kit has no electronics and needs no software. Pedal settings and calibration are unchanged and handled through the Fanatec wheel base or, with the Load Cell Kit, the Fanatec Control Panel on PC.

It works on any platform the CSL Pedals support: PC, and consoles through a Fanatec wheel base.

Frequently asked questions

Which pedals does the CSL Pedals Tuning Kit fit?

The CSL Pedals, the CSL Pedals Clutch Kit and the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit. It includes three plates, so it covers a full three-pedal set.

Does it change pedal performance?

It does not change sensors or brake force. It changes the foot interface: flatter, height-adjustable aluminum plates and an extended throttle face for heel-and-toe.

What do reviewers say about it?

In Overtake.gg's CSL Pedals review coverage, the Tuning Kit is described as three anodized aluminum pedal faces that complete the CSL lineup; community discussion focuses on the brake and clutch upgrades rather than the plates.

How durable are the plates?

The front plates are anodized aluminum and a white polymer backing supports the curved front and forms a durable 'F' signet, according to Fanatec.

Is it worth the price?

It costs $49.99 at Fanatec US and โ‚ฌ59.95 in Europe. It is worth it mainly if you heel-and-toe or want the aluminum look; it does not improve braking like the Load Cell Kit.

Does it need software or recalibration?

It needs no software. Since only the pedal faces change, calibration stays the same; recheck it in the Fanatec Control Panel if pedal travel feels different.

What tools are needed to install it?

The kit includes mounting hardware, a Torx key and a wrench, so no extra tools are needed.
