Fanatec CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand

Freestanding single-screen stand for displays up to 60", styled to match the CSL Cockpit

Description

The Fanatec CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand is a freestanding single-screen stand designed to match the look of the CSL Cockpit. It is Fanatec's alternative to the rig-mounted CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder for drivers who prefer the screen separated from the cockpit.

Screen support. Fanatec rates it for widescreen monitors and TVs up to 60", including 57" ultrawides. Two included mounting plates fit VESA 100 x 100, 200 x 100 and 200 x 200 mm patterns.

Adjustment and cable management. Height adjustment lets you fine-tune the screen position, and the hollow tubing with included cable-hole caps keeps wiring out of sight.

Compatibility. Because it does not bolt to the rig, it also works with other cockpits or as a general-purpose stand. It can carry the CSL Cockpit Shelf (sold separately) for a PC or console.

Driving style

The CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand suits CSL Cockpit owners who race on one big screen, such as a 49" or 57" super-ultrawide or a living-room TV, and want it decoupled from the rig so direct drive force feedback does not make the image shake. That makes it a good fit for GT and endurance racing in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate and Gran Turismo 7, where a wide, steady field of view helps with placement in traffic. Fanatec's own buyer guide positions it as the more flexible choice compared with the rig-mounted holder.

Best for single large ultrawide or TV setups and for owners of non-Fanatec rigs who want a matching stand; less suited for triple-screen racers or small rooms where the rig-mounted CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder takes less space.

Build quality

Mid-range build

A tubular freestanding frame styled after the CSL Cockpit, with adjustable height, foot pads, tube caps and two VESA mounting plates. Fanatec rates it for screens up to 60"; it is a straightforward entry-to-mid tier mount without the heavier 50 mm tube frame of Fanatec's GT Cockpit Monitor Stand.

Software

The CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand is a passive mechanical accessory and needs no drivers or software on PC or console.

Assembly follows Fanatec's Quick Start Guide and video guide; any monitor that follows the supported VESA patterns can be used.

Frequently asked questions

Should I get the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand or the CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder?

The Monitor Holder bolts to the CSL Cockpit frame and is more compact, while the Monitor Stand is freestanding and gives more placement freedom. Fanatec's own guide recommends the Holder for space-limited builds and the Stand for large ultrawides or when you want the screen decoupled from rig vibration.

What screen sizes and VESA patterns does the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand support?

Fanatec lists support for widescreen monitors and TVs up to 60", including 57" ultrawides. The two included plates fit VESA 100x100, 200x100 and 200x200 mm, so TVs with larger VESA patterns such as 300x300 or 400x400 need an adapter.

Can I use the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand with a non-Fanatec cockpit?

Yes. Because it is freestanding and does not bolt to the rig, Fanatec says it is suitable for other applications aside from the CSL Cockpit. Check that the stand's feet clear your rig's base frame before buying.

Does the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand support triple monitors?

No. It is a single-screen stand and Fanatec does not sell a triple kit for it. For triples on a Fanatec rig, the GT Cockpit Monitor Stand plus the GT Cockpit Triple Monitor Expansion Kit is the official option.

Can I put my PC or console on the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand?

Yes, with the CSL Cockpit Shelf (sold separately), which Fanatec says attaches to either the Monitor Holder or the freestanding Monitor Stand. The shelf takes cases up to 265 mm wide and 495 mm long.

Has the price of the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand changed since launch?

Yes. At launch in November 2024 Traxion reported a price of $/€149.95; Fanatec currently lists it at $299.99 in the US and €249.95 in the EU, so it is worth comparing against third-party stands before buying.

Does the CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand need any software?

No. It is a purely mechanical accessory with no electronics; setup is covered by Fanatec's Quick Start Guide and video guide.
