Driving style

The 31D rim targets GT racing in Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Gran Turismo 7, where a D-shaped, flat-bottom rim gives leg clearance and a race-car feel. It is for owners of the EVO Racing Hub or an EVO Racing wheel who want a GT shape.

Best for EVO Racing owners focused on GT and endurance; less suited for rally and drift, where the round 32R rim is better, or for anyone without the EVO hub.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to use the EVO Wheel Rim 31D?

It is a rim only and must be combined with Thrustmaster's EVO Racing Hub, sold separately, or mounted on the hub of an EVO Racing 31U or 32R Leather wheel.

Which bases does the EVO system support?

Thrustmaster says the EVO Racing Hub works with all its force feedback bases. Its support page lists minimum firmware for the T300, TX, T-GT / T-GT II, TS-XW and TS-PC, with update guides for the T818 and T598.

What is the 31D rim best for?

Thrustmaster positions the D-shaped 31D for GT competition and other simulations, with short metal paddles in adjustable positions.

31D vs 31U vs 32R: which EVO rim should I buy?

The 31D is a flat-bottom GT rim, the 31U a U shape for formula, and the 32R a round rim with long paddles for rally and versatile use. All attach to the same EVO Racing Hub, so you can swap between them.

How sturdy is the EVO system?

The 31D has a brushed aluminum frame. Reviewers of the EVO system describe the rims as comfortable but the hub as mostly plastic, with slightly wobbly buttons.

How much does it cost?

When verified, Thrustmaster's US eShop listed it at $99.99. The EVO Racing Hub costs $199.99 if you need one.
