Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted

Sports-car layout V3: hanging brake and clutch, floor-mounted throttle, 90 kg load cell with preinstalled damper

Description

The Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted take the ClubSport Pedals V3 internals and invert the brake and clutch pivots to mimic a sports-car pedal box: two hanging pedals and one floor-mounted throttle.

Brake. A load cell brake adjustable up to 90 kg with the Damper Kit preinstalled and tool-free stiffness and travel adjustment. The optional Brake Performance Kit gives a stiffer feel. A vibration motor can signal lock-ups in supported games.

Throttle and clutch. Contactless magnetic Hall sensors, 12-bit resolution, two throttle springs of different strength and a throttle vibration motor for wheel spin.

Mounting. The unit keeps the standard V3 footprint and adds two stabilizer feet. With the optional Colour Kit, note the footrest is shorter than the standard V3 Inverted footrest.

Connection. RJ12 to a Fanatec wheel base or USB directly to a PC; dedicated handbrake port. Not compatible with the ClubSport USB Adapter.

Driving style

The V3 Inverted is aimed at drivers who want the ergonomics of a road or sports car, with hanging brake and clutch and a floor-hinged throttle, rather than the formula-style floor-mounted layout. BSIMRacing notes Fanatec built it for racers who asked for an inverted CSP V3 and modeled it on sports-car pedal boxes, while BoxThisLap highlights its realism-focused design and preinstalled damper. Best for GT, touring car and road-car sim drivers who want an authentic pedal box, less suited for formula and open-wheel drivers who prefer floor-mounted pedals.

Build quality

Premium build

It shares the aluminum construction, 90 kg load cell and contactless Hall sensors of the ClubSport Pedals V3, with inverted brake and clutch mechanics, a hydraulic damper preinstalled on the brake, wider pedal spacing, a longer heel rest and two stabilizer feet. BSIMRacing reports the brake uses PU foam with the damper instead of the standard elastomer springs for more realistic travel.

Software

On PC the pedals are configured in the Windows-only Fanatec App, either by USB directly or through a Fanatec wheel base, where brake force, calibration and vibration intensity are set. On consoles they connect by RJ12 to a Fanatec base or wheel and work on the platforms that hardware is licensed for. With non-Fanatec wheels they work on PC only, and only in games that accept a second USB controller. SimHub can drive the vibration motors on PC.

Frequently asked questions

Do the ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted work on PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes, through a Fanatec wheel base or racing wheel with an RJ12 pedal port: they work on the consoles that base and wheel are licensed for. Connected directly by USB they work on PC only, and they are not compatible with the ClubSport USB Adapter.

Will the V3 Inverted fit my cockpit?

It keeps the same footprint as the standard ClubSport Pedals V3 and only the brake and clutch hang, so BSIMRacing notes it should fit most cockpits that take a V3. Fanatec adds two stabilizer feet. Check that your pedal deck leaves clearance for the inverted pivots.

How does the V3 Inverted brake feel compared with the standard V3?

Both use a load cell adjustable up to 90 kg, but the Inverted ships with the Damper Kit preinstalled and, according to BSIMRacing, PU foam instead of the standard elastomer springs for more realistic travel. Like the V3, an optional Brake Performance Kit is available for a stiffer brake.

Does the V3 Inverted share the durability concerns of the standard V3?

It uses the same aluminum construction and Hall/load cell sensors as the standard V3. Flow Racers' review of the standard V3 notes the sensors may degrade after years of use; no inverted-specific durability problems are reported in the reviews checked.

Should I choose the V3 Inverted or the standard ClubSport Pedals V3?

BSIMRacing reports Fanatec considers the standard V3 the right choice for most sim racers, while the Inverted targets drivers who want a sports-car layout with hanging brake and clutch. The Inverted also includes the brake damper preinstalled, but costs more ($449.99 vs $429.99 in the US store on October 13, 2026).

What warranty do the ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted have?

Fanatec updated its warranty and return policies in 2025, as reported by GTPlanet. Coverage depends on the regional store, so check the current terms on the Fanatec product page for your region before purchase.

Is the V3 Inverted worth the price?

At launch it cost €599.95 (BoxThisLap, BSIMRacing); on October 13, 2026 Fanatec listed it at $449.99 in the US and €429.99 in the EU, much closer to the standard V3. Since the brake damper is preinstalled, the gap over a standard V3 plus Damper Kit is small for drivers who want the inverted layout.

Can I tune the brake and vibration on the V3 Inverted?

Yes. Brake force, calibration and vibration intensity are adjusted in the Fanatec App or the wheel base tuning menu, the hydraulic damper has its own adjustment knob, and throttle feel can be changed with the two included springs. Vibration effects require game support or SimHub on PC.
