Logitech G RS50 Base (PlayStation/PC)

8 Nm direct drive wheel base with TRUEFORCE for PS5, PS4 and PC

Description

The Logitech G RS50 Base (PlayStation/PC) is the console-licensed version of Logitech's 8 Nm direct drive base with TRUEFORCE. It is identical in hardware to the PC version but works on PS5 and PS4 as well as PC.

Hardware. 161 × 185 × 180 mm, 4.4 kg, up to 2700° rotation and an OLED display for FFB filter, dampener, TRUEFORCE level and angle. Low-carbon aluminum and 74% certified recycled plastic in the plastic parts.

Triple platform. Logitech says pairing this base with an Xbox-compatible RS or PRO wheel, such as the Xbox/PC RS Wheel Hub, gives PC, PlayStation and Xbox support in one setup.

Mounting. T-nuts and bolts for rigs are included; the Table Clamp for RS50 is sold separately.

Driving style

This version targets console racers moving to direct drive, especially Gran Turismo 7, F1 25 and EA SPORTS WRC players on PS5, where Logitech lists TRUEFORCE support. On PC it covers the same sims as the PC version (iRacing, ACC, Le Mans Ultimate).

Best for PlayStation drivers stepping up from a G29 or G923 who want direct drive without changing brand; PC-only racers save $100 with the PC version.

Build quality

Mid-range build

Same hardware as the PC model: a 4.4 kg direct drive base in low-carbon aluminum with recycled plastics and an OLED display. Logitech notes the casing gets warm on long full-force sessions but stays at or below about 60°C.

Software

On PC the base is configured in Logitech G HUB (Windows 10/11) and on the OLED display. On PS5 and PS4 it is plug-and-play in supported games and is tuned from the onboard display. A PRO compatibility mode makes it appear as the PRO Racing Wheel in games that already support that wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Can the RS50 Base work on PC, PlayStation and Xbox?

Logitech says the PlayStation/PC RS50 Base paired with an Xbox-compatible RS or PRO wheel (for example the Xbox/PC RS Wheel Hub) gives compatibility across all three platforms.

What is the difference between the PC and PlayStation/PC RS50 Base?

The hardware is the same 8 Nm direct drive base; the PlayStation/PC version ($449.99) adds PS5/PS4 support, while the PC version costs $349.99.

Is a table clamp included?

No. T-nuts and bolts for rig mounting are included; the Table Clamp for RS50 is sold separately.

How is the RS50 tuned on console?

On console there is no G HUB, so settings such as strength, TRUEFORCE, filter and angle are changed on the base's OLED display.
