Driving style

The KS is an affordable 300 mm GT wheel for GT3, GT4 and touring car racing in Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2, and it handles formula cars in the F1 series well enough. Its dual clutch paddles support launch control, and the joysticks and encoders cover TC, ABS and brake bias. A reviewer found the grips stayed secure at 12 Nm. Best for budget GT racers on MOZA bases who do not need a screen; less suited for drifting and rally, where a round rim like the CS V2P works better, or for drivers who want a display, who should look at the KS Pro.

Build quality

Entry-level build

The body is carbon fiber-reinforced composite with high-strength steel reinforcement, wrapped in TPE rubber grips, and the paddles are anodized aluminum with Hall sensors. A reviewer called the quick-release system highly robust, though the paddles lack a crisp click. MOZA lists up to 24 months of warranty.

Software

The KS is set up in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC: button mapping, RGB colors, RPM LEDs and clutch modes. It is a PC wheel without console licensing; force feedback comes from the MOZA base. Third-party bases and direct PC connection are possible with the MOZA Universal Hub Kit.

Frequently asked questions

Which wheel bases work with the MOZA KS?

MOZA lists all non-wireless MOZA bases via the MOZA quick release, and third-party bases through the MOZA Universal Hub Kit.

How do the KS paddles feel?

A reviewer found shifting smooth and praised the dual-clutch mode, but said the Hall-sensor paddles lack a satisfying click and are not especially quiet even with the pre-installed silencer pads.

Do the KS grips hold up at high torque?

A reviewer running an R12 at full 12 Nm found the soft TPE rubber grips stayed secure. Some users of the related KS Pro found TPE grips slightly greasy.

MOZA KS vs KS Pro?

The KS Pro adds a 2.99-inch screen, two extra rotary encoders, extra thumbwheels, flag lights and two rear buttons for $329. The KS is about $100 cheaper on sale and keeps the same 300 mm shape and dual clutch.

Does the KS work on Xbox?

No. It is a PC wheel; MOZA bases run on Xbox only with the Xbox-licensed ESX wheel.

Is the KS good value?

A reviewer scored its price and value 10/10. MOZA now lists it at $229 on sale (regular $279).

Can I change the KS clutch paddle modes?

Yes. In MOZA Pit House the clutch paddles can run as a combined axis, independent axes or buttons, and button colors and RPM LEDs are customizable.

What warranty does the KS have?

MOZA's US store lists up to 24 months of warranty protection and a 14-day returns policy.
