MOZA Universal Hub Kit โ€” Adapter and USB hub to run MOZA wheels and pedals on third-party bases

MOZA Universal Hub Kit

Adapter and USB hub to run MOZA wheels and pedals on third-party bases

Description

The MOZA Universal Hub Kit (RS050) lets you use MOZA steering wheels and pedals on third-party wheel bases.

Base adapter. A CNC-machined aluminum adapter (82 ร— 82 ร— 33 mm) with three 50 mm and six 70 mm threaded holes mounts a MOZA wheel to the quick release of other brands' bases; retailers name Fanatec and Simucube as examples.

USB hub. Because a third-party base cannot pass MOZA wheel signals, an aluminum hub (105 ร— 70 ร— 25 mm, 170 g) connects MOZA devices directly to the PC by USB. It has three expansion ports and one pedal port, and a dual power supply is recommended on USB 2.0. A 3 m coil cord for the FSR wheel and USB Type-B and Type-C cables are included.

Compatibility. MOZA lists the KS, FSR2 Formula, Vision GS and TSW Truck wheels and SR-P Lite pedals. It is not designed to connect multiple devices to one MOZA base. Force feedback comes from the third-party base; buttons and paddles work through Pit House on PC.

Driving style

The Universal Hub Kit suits PC drivers who own a Fanatec, Simucube or other direct drive base but want a MOZA wheel such as the FSR2 Formula, Vision GS, KS or TSW Truck wheel, or want MOZA pedals without a MOZA base. Buyers mention it in Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate and ACC.

Best for mixed-brand PC rigs; less suited for console players or anyone who only uses MOZA bases, where wheels connect directly.

Build quality

Mid-range build

The base adapter is CNC-machined aluminum and the hub is an aviation-grade aluminum all-metal housing weighing 170 g. Buyers describe it as solid and simple; one reports brief signal drops, which point to the USB link rather than the hardware.

Software

MOZA wheels and pedals connected through the hub are configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC, which handles buttons, paddles, displays and pedal curves. Force feedback is set in the third-party base's own software (for example Fanatec App or Simucube True Drive). No console support is listed.

Frequently asked questions

Which third-party wheel bases work with the MOZA Universal Hub Kit?

MOZA says it fits mainstream third-party bases through its 50 mm and 70 mm hole patterns but does not publish a list. Sim Race Webshop names Fanatec and Simucube as examples, and a MOZA store buyer runs a MOZA truck wheel on a Fanatec base.

Which MOZA wheels and pedals are supported?

MOZA lists the KS wheels, FSR2 Formula Wheel, Vision GS Wheel, TSW Truck Wheel and SR-P Lite pedals, plus other MOZA ecosystem products. One buyer asked whether mBooster pedals work, with no confirmation.

How do the wheel's buttons and display work on a third-party base?

The third-party base supplies force feedback only. The MOZA wheel's buttons, paddles and display connect to the PC through the kit's USB hub and are configured in MOZA Pit House.

Does it work on PlayStation or Xbox?

MOZA lists PC only. A PlayStation 5 question on MOZA's store has no answer, so assume no console support.

Are there known issues with the Universal Hub Kit?

Most buyers rate it highly (4.5/5 on Apex Sim Racing, 86% five stars on MOZA's store). Reported issues include brief signal drops and one case of no force feedback in ACC on a DD base. MOZA recommends a dual power supply on USB 2.0 ports.

Universal Hub Kit or 70mm Quick Release Adapter: which do I need?

The Universal Hub Kit is for putting MOZA wheels on other brands' bases. The 70mm Quick Release Adapter does the opposite: it puts third-party 70 mm rims on MOZA bases.

What warranty does the kit have?

MOZA's store lists up to 24 months of warranty protection and a 14-day return policy.

Is the Universal Hub Kit worth $39?

For PC users who want a MOZA wheel on a Fanatec, Simucube or other base, it is a low-cost official solution with mostly positive buyer reviews.
