MOZA CRP2 Load Cell Pedals — Aluminum throttle and brake set with 200 kg load cell brake

MOZA CRP2 Load Cell Pedals

Aluminum throttle and brake set with 200 kg load cell brake

Description

The MOZA CRP2 is MOZA's flagship load cell pedal set (throttle and brake), the second generation of the CRP and the base for the mBooster active pedal.

Brake. A 200 kg load cell fused with a 15-bit angle sensor (32,768 PPR) through MOZA's patented algorithm. Swappable springs and damping blocks give over 100 standard setups and more with the optional Performance Kit; travel is 15-20°.

Throttle. Hall-effect sensor with two spring options, infinite preload adjustment and 15-23° of travel.

Adjustment and build. Pedal angle 0-15°, face height up to 30 mm and footrest up to 30 mm. Aerospace-grade aluminum pedal bodies with biomimetic curved faces, a 3K twill carbon fiber heel plate and a high-strength steel base, with cables routed under the plate.

Compatibility. Connects to a PC over USB and works with any wheel base brand. MOZA lists PC and Xbox; on Xbox it runs through a MOZA base with the ESX wheel. The CRP2 Clutch Pedal is sold separately.

Driving style

The CRP2 is a mid-to-high-end pedal set for serious sim racers on a rig. Its 200 kg load cell brake supports firm, repeatable trail braking in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa, and the Hall throttle gives smooth modulation for traction-limited exits. It needs to be bolted down and is best on an aluminum-profile cockpit. Best for GT, endurance and formula racers in the MOZA ecosystem or on any PC base who want a stiff, tunable load cell; less suited for desk setups or buyers on a tight budget, where the SRP2 is the cheaper load cell option.

Build quality

Premium build

Aerospace-grade aluminum pedal bodies with solid faces sit on a high-strength steel base with a 3K twill carbon fiber heel plate, and reviewers describe the set as very heavy and robust. Cables route under the base plate. Reported weak points are an easily scratched heel plate and a brake limit screw that can loosen. MOZA lists up to 24 months of warranty.

Software

The CRP2 is configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC: brake load cell and angle fusion, travel, engagement point, curves and real-time output display, and MOZA offers an SDK. It connects via USB and works with any wheel base brand on PC. On Xbox it works through a MOZA wheel base paired with the MOZA ESX wheel; PlayStation is not supported.

Frequently asked questions

Do the MOZA CRP2 pedals work with other wheel bases?

Yes. They connect to the PC by USB, and MOZA says they work with any wheel base brand. They do not need a MOZA base on PC.

Do the CRP2 pedals work on Xbox or PlayStation?

MOZA lists PC and Xbox. A review notes Xbox use runs through a MOZA wheel base paired with the ESX wheel. PlayStation is not supported.

Is the CRP2 brake too soft out of the box?

Opinions differ. One reviewer found the stock damping blocks far too soft and needed the paid Performance Kit for stiffer springs; another called the brake extremely precise. Swapping springs and blocks is the main tuning tool.

What changed from the CRP to the CRP2?

The CRP2 moves to solid aluminum pedal plates, adds compatibility with the mBooster active pedal and refines the brake. A reviewer called it a slightly better experience but not a huge performance difference over the CRP.

How does the CRP2 compare with Heusinkveld or Fanatec pedals?

A reviewer preferred Heusinkveld Sprint brake feel but found the CRP2 better to use than Fanatec CSL Elite and ClubSport pedals, and cheaper than the Asetek Forte.

Are there known issues with the CRP2?

Reviewers report a brake limit screw that can loosen, a carbon heel plate that scratches easily, pedals packed closely together and faces that feel slippery at first.

Is the CRP2 setup complicated?

Pit House makes calibration easy, but a reviewer warns the amount of customization can make initial setup complicated for beginners.

Are the CRP2 pedals good value?

Reviewers call them a solid mid-range choice with good value; one scored them 8.6/10. MOZA lists the set at $369 on sale (regular $399), plus $99 for the clutch.

What warranty do the CRP2 pedals have?

MOZA's US store lists up to 24 months of warranty protection.
