MOZA PHF Pedal Haptic Feedback Module — Add-on pedal vibration motor for the MOZA PHF Control Box

MOZA PHF Pedal Haptic Feedback Module

Add-on pedal vibration motor for the MOZA PHF Control Box

Description

The MOZA PHF Pedal Haptic Feedback Module is a single pedal vibration motor used to extend a MOZA pedal haptics setup to a second or third pedal.

Effects. Driven by game telemetry through MOZA Pit House, it reproduces ABS, traction control, engine RPM, wheel lock-up, wheel slip, road texture and gear shifts across a 0 to 100 Hz range. Effects are set per pedal.

Requirements. The module does not work alone: it needs the MOZA PHF Control Box, which comes in the MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit. The Control Box has three motor ports (throttle, brake, clutch), so one kit plus two modules covers a full three-pedal set.

Hardware. It uses an ERM (eccentric rotating mass) motor in a 40 × 41 × 61 mm housing with threaded mounting points. MOZA lists it for the SR-P Lite, SR-P, SRP2 and CRP2 pedals.

Driving style

An extra PHF module suits drivers who already run the PHF kit on the brake and want throttle wheel-spin and TC cues or clutch bite-point vibration, in GT, touring and rally titles such as ACC, iRacing, Assetto Corsa and EA WRC where traction feedback helps on corner exit.

Best for MOZA pedal owners who already have the PHF Control Box; less suited as a first purchase, since it does nothing without the kit, or for drivers who want crisp, high-definition haptics.

Build quality

Entry-level build

A small plastic housing around an ERM vibration motor with threaded mounting points. OC Racing found it light and reliable over several weeks of daily use but noted the plastic build feels basic. MOZA lists a 12-month warranty.

Software

Effects are configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC, where frequency and strength are set independently per effect and per pedal (for example ABS, lock-up and brake threshold on the brake; engine vibration and wheel spin on the throttle; bite point on the clutch). SimHub support was not integrated at the time of review.

Pros

  • Very low price per pedal
  • Small and light
  • No noticeable latency per reviewers
  • Per-effect frequency and strength in Pit House
  • Fits all current MOZA passive pedals

Cons

  • Needs the PHF Control Box (in the $39 kit)
  • Buzzy ERM feel, less defined than linear actuators
  • Loud at max intensity
  • Mostly plastic
  • No SimHub support at review time
  • Third-party pedals need a custom mount

Frequently asked questions

Does the PHF module work on its own?

No. The module needs the MOZA PHF Control Box, which is only included in the MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit ($39). Buy the kit first, then add modules for other pedals.

How many PHF modules can I use?

The Control Box has three motor ports labeled THROTTLE, BRAKE and CLUTCH, so up to three modules: the one in the kit plus two add-ons.

Which pedals can the PHF module mount on?

MOZA lists the SR-P Lite, SR-P, SRP2 and CRP2. Threaded mounting points let it fit other pedals with a custom or 3D-printed adapter, connected through the Control Box directly to PC.

Which pedal benefits most from a second module?

OC Racing suggests starting with the brake for ABS and lock-up. A throttle module adds wheel-spin and traction control cues, which simracing-pc.de found effective; OC Racing found wheel spin less convincing and the clutch bite-point effect unrealistic.

Is the PHF module noisy?

OC Racing reports the modules get loud at maximum intensity, especially with continuous effects. Lowering intensity helps a lot, and it was acceptable with headphones.

How does the PHF compare with linear haptic actuators?

The PHF uses an ERM vibration motor, which reviewers describe as buzzier and less defined than linear haptic transducers, and effects can blur when several run at once. It is far cheaper and simpler to set up.

Can I use the PHF with SimHub?

Not at the time of OC Racing's review: effects are driven by MOZA Pit House only, with no integrated SimHub support.

What warranty does the PHF module have?

MOZA lists 12 months of warranty protection and a 14-day return policy for the PHF module.

Is the PHF module worth $19?

For kit owners it is a cheap way to add haptics to another pedal. Reviewers frame PHF as an immersion upgrade rather than a performance one.
