MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit — Budget pedal vibration kit with control box and one haptic module for MOZA pedals

MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit

Budget pedal vibration kit with control box and one haptic module for MOZA pedals

Description

The MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit adds vibration feedback to passive MOZA pedals, letting you feel ABS, lock-ups and wheel slip through your feet.

In the box. One PHF haptic module, the PHF Control Box, a 12V 2A power adapter, USB, RJ11 and RJ45 cables, plus a bracket and screws. The Control Box measures 80 × 66 × 26 mm and the module 40 × 41 × 61 mm.

Effects. Using game telemetry from MOZA Pit House, the ERM motor plays effects from 0 to 100 Hz: ABS, traction control, engine RPM, wheel lock-up, wheel slip, road texture, brake threshold, gear shifts and clutch bite point, each with its own frequency and strength.

Connection. The pedals plug into the Control Box by RJ45, and the box connects either to a PC by USB (MOZA's recommendation) or to a compatible MOZA wheel base by RJ11, never both at once. Extra modules ($19 each) plug into the THROTTLE, BRAKE and CLUTCH ports.

Compatibility. The bracket fits SR-P Lite, SR-P, SRP2 and CRP2 pedals. Other passive pedals can work through a direct PC connection with a custom mount.

Driving style

The PHF kit suits drivers on passive MOZA pedals, including R5 bundle SR-P Lite owners, who race GT, touring and rally cars in ACC, iRacing, Assetto Corsa or EA WRC and want ABS and lock-up cues through the brake without buying active pedals. Reviewers see it as an immersion add-on that gives no measurable lap-time advantage.

Best for budget MOZA pedal owners who want felt brake feedback; less suited for drivers seeking crisp, high-definition haptics, who should look at linear transducers, or for console players.

Build quality

Entry-level build

A lightweight plastic Control Box mounted with double-sided tape and a plastic-housed ERM vibration module on a universal bracket. Reviewers found it reliable over several weeks with no latency, but the plastic feels basic and cable management is fiddly. MOZA lists a 12-month warranty.

Software

The kit is configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC, which has a vibration menu per pedal: brake effects include ABS, lock-up and brake threshold; throttle effects include engine vibration, wheel spin and TC; clutch effects include bite point. Frequency and strength are set per effect, and MOZA says it supports most current racing sims.

The Control Box connects by USB to PC or through a compatible MOZA base. SimHub was not integrated at the time of review, and consoles are not listed.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to use the MOZA Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit?

The kit includes everything for one pedal: Control Box, haptic module, 12V power adapter and USB, RJ11 and RJ45 cables. You need MOZA Pit House on a Windows PC and compatible pedals; a MOZA base is optional.

Which pedals are compatible with the PHF kit?

MOZA lists the SR-P Lite, SR-P, SRP2 and CRP2, which the included bracket fits. Other passive pedals can work through a direct PC connection with a custom or 3D-printed mount.

Should I connect the Control Box to my PC or my MOZA base?

Either works: USB directly to PC, or RJ11 to a compatible MOZA wheel base. MOZA recommends the direct PC connection according to simracing-pc.de, and you must not connect both at the same time.

How strong and useful is the vibration?

Both OC Racing and simracing-pc.de found it clearly felt through shoes with no noticeable latency. ABS and lock-up on the brake were the most useful effects; OC Racing found wheel spin less convincing, and effects blur when several run at once.

Are there downsides to the PHF kit?

Reviewers note loud vibration at maximum intensity, a basic plastic build, fiddly cable management with no cable clips included, and no SimHub integration at review time. OC Racing's review was sponsored by MOZA, which it disclosed.

How does the PHF kit compare with active pedals or linear haptics?

The ERM motor gives a softer, buzzier feel than linear haptic actuators and cannot change pedal force like active pedals such as the MOZA mBooster. simracing-pc.de calls it a bridge between passive pedals and high-end active pedals at a much lower price.

What can I adjust in Pit House?

Pit House has a vibration menu per pedal where you set frequency and strength for each effect: ABS, lock-up and brake threshold on the brake; engine vibration, TC and wheel spin on the throttle; bite point on the clutch. Road texture and gear shifts are available on all three.

What warranty does the PHF kit have?

MOZA lists 12 months of warranty protection and a 14-day return policy for the Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit.

Is the PHF kit worth $39?

Reviewers see it as good value for immersion: OC Racing recommends starting with one brake module, and simracing-pc.de calls it good value for money. It does not improve lap times.
