Fanatec GT Cockpit PC Tray

Adjustable steel tray that holds a PC or console on the ClubSport GT Cockpit

Description

The Fanatec GT Cockpit PC Tray holds a gaming PC or console on the ClubSport GT Cockpit, saving floor space and lifting the system off the carpet for better airflow and less dust.

Mounting. It reuses two existing bolts on the main cockpit frame, and the PC or console I/O can face either the left or right side.

Adjustable size. Eight bolts set the tray to your system's dimensions. Usable space is 520 x 300 mm, extending to 350 mm wide; the assembled tray measures 560 x 385 x 140 mm. Fanatec's accessories article says it widens to fit large full-tower cases.

Cable management. The extended tray opens a gap for routing cables while keeping I/O ports accessible. Solid steel construction.

Driving style

The GT Cockpit PC Tray is for ClubSport GT Cockpit owners who keep the gaming PC or console right next to the rig. PC racers in iRacing, ACC, Le Mans Ultimate or Automobilista 2 get short cable runs to the wheel base, pedals and screens, and console racers in Gran Turismo 7 or F1 get a tidy place for the PlayStation or Xbox. OC Racing notes it keeps cables hidden for a clean setup; Boosted Media rates it functional but flags possible rattling from metal-to-metal contact.

Best for all-in-one GT Cockpit builds in shared rooms; less suited for drivers who keep their PC on a desk or under a separate table.

Build quality

Mid-range build

A solid steel tray that bolts to the GT Cockpit frame with eight bolts for size adjustment. Boosted Media calls it functional but notes metal-to-metal contact that could cause rattling; adding a rubber mat under the PC is a common fix.

Software

The PC Tray is a passive mechanical accessory and needs no software.

Fanatec provides a PDF QuickStart Guide for installation.

Frequently asked questions

Will my PC case fit the GT Cockpit PC Tray?

Fanatec lists 520 x 300 mm of usable space, extending to 350 mm wide, and its accessories article says the tray widens to fit large full-tower cases. Measure very deep cases against the 520 mm length.

Does the PC Tray rattle?

Boosted Media rated it functional but noted metal-to-metal contact that could cause rattling. OC Racing had no complaints and says it keeps cables hidden for a clean setup. A rubber mat under the PC is a simple mitigation.

Does the PC Tray interfere with monitor stands?

Fanatec says it won't conflict with single or triple-screen stands, and the PC or console I/O can face either side of the cockpit.

Does it fit cockpits other than the ClubSport GT?

No. Fanatec lists it as only compatible with the ClubSport GT Cockpit. CSL Cockpit owners should look at the CSL Cockpit Shelf instead.

Is the GT Cockpit PC Tray good value?

At $99.99 in the US it is one of the cheaper GT accessories. OC Racing considers Fanatec's GT add-ons generally pricier than Trak Racer or Next Level Racing equivalents.

Does the PC Tray need software?

No. It is a passive steel tray.
