Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Servo Base

40 W brushless dual-belt base for PC with 270-1080° rotation

Description

The Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Servo Base is a PC-only belt-driven base built around a 40 W brushless servomotor with the patented MCE (Motor Cooling Embedded) system. Torque reaches the wheel through a mixed dual belt-pulley system on a metal ball-bearing axle, tuned with Thrustmaster's T-LIN linearity technology.

Sensor, rotation and power. A contactless H.E.A.R.T magnetic sensor reads position, rotation is adjustable from 270° to 1080°, and an external toroidal "Turbo Power" supply (86% efficiency, 400 W peak) feeds the motor.

Ecosystem. It accepts all Thrustmaster add-on wheels and works with the T-LCM, T3PM, T3PA and T3PA-PRO pedals, the TH8A shifter and the TSS handbrake.

Size. 40 × 37.5 × 30 cm and 7.16 kg, with an attachment system included. Thrustmaster does not publish an Nm figure; it rated the torque at 1.6 times that of the TX and T300.

Driving style

The TS-PC Racer gives PC drivers more strength than a T300 while keeping the smooth, damped feel of a belt drive. Its 40 W motor handles GT and formula cars well in iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, rFactor 2 and the F1 series, and the 1080° range covers road cars and drifting. Fine texture is filtered compared with direct drive. Best for PC racers who already own Thrustmaster rims and pedals and want a belt-driven upgrade; less suited for newcomers, since entry direct drive bases now cost about the same.

Build quality

Mid-range build

The TS-PC Racer combines a 40 W brushless servomotor with a mixed dual belt-pulley drive on a metal ball-bearing axle inside a metal-clad, vented housing (40 × 37.5 × 30 cm, 7.16 kg), cooled by Thrustmaster's MCE system. A separate toroidal Turbo Power supply drives the motor. The build is robust for a belt base, though it remains large and heavy compared with modern compact direct drive bases.

Software

The TS-PC Racer is set up on Windows with the Thrustmaster Force Feedback driver package, which includes the Thrustmaster Control Panel (rotation from 270° to 1080°, force feedback strength and effects) and a firmware updater. It is plug and play in most PC sims. There is no console support. SimHub and Crew Chief run alongside as usual.

Frequently asked questions

Does the TS-PC Racer base work on consoles?

No. The TS-PC Racer is PC only. For Xbox, Thrustmaster sells the TS-XW with the same 40 W motor package; for PlayStation, the T-GT II is the closest equivalent.

Which rims and pedals can I use with the TS-PC Racer?

All Thrustmaster add-on wheels fit the base. It also works with the T-LCM, T3PM, T3PA and T3PA-PRO pedal sets, the TH8A shifter and the TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod, all sold separately.

How much torque does the TS-PC Racer have?

Thrustmaster does not publish an Nm figure, but stated its torque is 1.6 times that of the TX and T300. Forum users estimate around 6 Nm from that claim, and Inside Sim Racing found the matching TS-XW about 50% stronger than the T300 in practice.

Does the TS-PC Racer suffer from heat fade?

It uses Thrustmaster's MCE cooling system and a vented metal-clad housing designed to prevent overheating and power loss. Owners and reviewers generally describe it as holding its strength better than the T300.

TS-PC Racer or T300: which should I buy?

The TS-PC Racer is stronger and smoother, but Flow Racers found it hard to recommend over the T300 or TX for its price, since it adds few unique features. It makes most sense if you want the strongest Thrustmaster belt base on PC.

Is the TS-PC Racer still worth it in 2026?

At $399.99 it costs about the same as entry direct drive bases, which offer more detail. It remains a sensible choice mainly for PC users already invested in Thrustmaster rims and pedals.
