Thrustmaster T3PM Pedals — 3-pedal magnetic set with 4 brake pressure modes and metal pedal heads

Thrustmaster T3PM Pedals

3-pedal magnetic set with 4 brake pressure modes and metal pedal heads

Description

The Thrustmaster T3PM is a three-pedal set (throttle, brake, clutch) with contactless H.E.A.R.T magnetic sensors at 10-bit resolution.

Brake modes. Four pressure modes, suited to desk, cockpit and Wheel Stand Pro setups, use two metal springs (soft, hard) and an extra-hard elastomer; Thrustmaster rates the pedals for up to 200 kg of pressure.

Adjustment and build. Metal pedal heads on a weighted base that Thrustmaster says is 20% more stable than the T3PA. Pedal inclination (2 positions), throttle height (2 positions) and lateral spacing (3 positions) are adjustable, and five screw threads underneath help with cockpit mounting.

Connection. RJ12 to a Thrustmaster wheel base on PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC. Dimensions 300 × 210 × 370 mm, weight 3 kg.

Driving style

The T3PM is a step up from basic plastic pedals for Thrustmaster wheel owners, giving a clutch and a firmer, mode-adjustable brake for GT, touring and rally driving in Gran Turismo 7, Forza Motorsport, F1, Assetto Corsa and EA WRC. Being travel-based, the brake is less precise than a load cell. Best for beginners and intermediate drivers on T248, T300 or TX wheels wanting value; less suited for competitive drivers who want load cell braking.

Build quality

Entry-level build

The T3PM pairs metal pedal heads and steel springs with a weighted plastic-housed base (300 × 210 × 370 mm, 3 kg) and magnetic sensors. Reviewers describe it as solid and durable, though bulky and less premium-feeling than all-metal sets.

Software

The T3PM has no standalone software: it connects by RJ12 to a Thrustmaster wheel base, and calibration and settings come from the base's driver and control panel on PC (or the T598 Race Dash). On consoles it is plug and play through the base.

Frequently asked questions

How do the T3PM pedals connect?

They connect to a Thrustmaster wheel base by RJ12 cable for PC and consoles. Compatible bases include the T598, T818 and Thrustmaster force feedback bases such as the T300, TX, T248 and T128.

What are the T3PM's four pressure modes?

The brake can be set to four resistance levels using the included soft and hard metal springs and an extra-hard elastomer, aimed at desk, cockpit and Wheel Stand Pro setups. Thrustmaster rates it for up to 200 kg of pressure.

T3PM vs T3PA: what's the difference?

The T3PM uses contactless magnetic sensors, adds four brake modes and metal pedal heads on a heavier base Thrustmaster says is 20% more stable. The T3PA uses potentiometers and a conical rubber brake mod, and costs less.

Is the T3PM worth it over the T-LCM?

Flow Racers calls the T3PM the value pick for beginners and intermediate drivers, while the T-LCM's load cell is more realistic. Windows Central notes the T3PM offers less than the T-LCM for about $100 less.

Can I mount the T3PM to a cockpit?

Yes. It has five screw threads on the underside, designed for cockpits such as Next Level Racing and similar rigs, and its weighted base is meant to stay stable on the floor.
