MOZA Performance Kit for SR-P Lite — Spring and damping block upgrade for a firmer, progressive SR-P Lite brake

MOZA Performance Kit for SR-P Lite

Spring and damping block upgrade for a firmer, progressive SR-P Lite brake

Description

The MOZA Performance Kit for SR-P Lite is a brake upgrade for the SR-P Lite pedals, the set included in the MOZA R5 bundle.

What it changes. A molded spring and damping block combination replaces the stock brake spring, adding rebound resistance and a non-linear response so pressure builds progressively instead of the light, linear feel of the stock pedal.

Installation. Secure the two top screws and slot the bottom base into the lower groove. MOZA says it takes minutes with no special tools; one buyer needed an Allen key for the connecting piece.

Compatibility. Fits the SR-P Lite brake only. MOZA states it is not compatible with the SR-P pedals; the newer SRP Lite2 has its own brake kit. The kit is listed as sold out on MOZA's US store.

Driving style

This kit suits R5 bundle owners who race on PC or Xbox setups with the SR-P Lite pedals and want a brake that builds pressure instead of feeling like a light spring, which helps trail braking in GT, touring car and rally titles such as ACC, Forza Motorsport, Assetto Corsa and EA WRC.

Best for SR-P Lite owners who want a cheap, quick upgrade before buying load cell pedals; less suited for anyone with a loose desk mount, since the stiffer brake pushes the pedals around.

Build quality

Entry-level build

A molded spring and polymer damping block assembly that drops into the SR-P Lite brake without wiring. MOZA store reviewers praise the feel but some report a spongy bushing and one reported a missing connecting piece.

Software

The kit has no electronics. After installing it, recalibrate the brake and set the curve and maximum output in MOZA Pit House, since the stiffer spring changes how much travel you use.

Frequently asked questions

Does the SR-P Lite Performance Kit fit the SR-P or SRP Lite2 pedals?

No for the SR-P: MOZA states it is not compatible with SR-P pedals. It is made for the SR-P Lite set included in the R5 bundle. The newer SRP Lite2 has its own SRP Lite2 Brake Performance Kit.

How much does the kit improve the SR-P Lite brake?

Most MOZA store reviewers (76% five stars out of 121) report a more progressive brake that is easier to modulate. Some find it very stiff, and one Apex Sim Racing buyer found the bushing spongy with no reduction in pedal travel.

Is the kit hard to install?

No. You secure the two top screws and slot the bottom base into the lower groove; MOZA says it takes minutes without special tools. One buyer needed an Allen key for the connecting piece, and another reported that piece missing from the box.

Will my pedals move more after installing the kit?

Possibly. Several reviewers note the stiffer brake needs a well-secured pedal mount or rig, because loose pedals can shift under the extra force.

Is this kit a substitute for load cell pedals?

No. It changes the spring feel but the brake still reads position, not force. It is a cheap improvement; load cell sets such as the SRP2 or CRP2 measure pressure and give more consistent braking.

Is the SR-P Lite Performance Kit worth $29?

For SR-P Lite owners it is a low-cost upgrade with strong buyer ratings (4.5/5 on Apex Sim Racing). It is currently listed as sold out on MOZA's US store.

Do I need software changes after installing?

Recalibrate the brake in MOZA Pit House and adjust the curve and maximum output, because the stiffer spring changes how much travel you use under braking.
