MOZA mBooster Base Extension Plate โ€” Extension plate that secures the mBooster Active Pedal to an existing CRP2 pedal base

MOZA mBooster Base Extension Plate

Extension plate that secures the mBooster Active Pedal to an existing CRP2 pedal base

Description

The MOZA mBooster Base Extension Plate lets you add an mBooster Active Pedal to an existing CRP2 pedal set without replacing its base.

Why it exists. The mBooster is longer than the mounting holes on the CRP2 base plate, so MOZA recommends this extension plate for CRP2 users for added safety and a secure mount.

Installation. A connector block attaches to the extension plate with M6x10 screws, and the extension plate bolts to the CRP2 base with M12x20 screws.

Alternative. To build a new layout or run several mBoosters, MOZA offers the larger mBooster Base Plate.

Driving style

The Base Extension Plate is for CRP2 owners upgrading their brake to the mBooster Active Pedal while keeping the CRP2 throttle and clutch. That combination suits drivers moving up to a programmable active brake for GT, formula and endurance racing in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Le Mans Ultimate. Traxion.gg notes MOZA recommends the plate with the CRP2 to accommodate the mBooster's size, and that the full setup is close to 500 mm deep.

Best for existing CRP2 owners adding one mBooster; less suited for multi-mBooster setups or new builds, where the mBooster Base Plate is the better fit.

Build quality

Mid-range build

A metal extension plate with a separate connector block, fixed with M6 and M12 screws. MOZA retailers describe it as a high-strength alloy; we found no independent reviews of the plate itself, and Traxion.gg reported no mounting issues with the mBooster on a CRP2 base.

Software

The extension plate is purely mechanical and needs no software. The mBooster and CRP2 pedals are configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows, and the pedals daisy-chain over RJ11 and connect to a PC by USB or to a MOZA wheel base.

Platform support depends on the pedals and base, not on the plate.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need an extension plate to use the mBooster with CRP2 pedals?

MOZA's support guide says the mBooster is longer than the CRP2 base plate's mounting holes, so it recommends the Base Extension Plate for added safety when pairing the two.

How do I install the mBooster Base Extension Plate?

Attach the connector block to the extension plate with M6x10 screws, then secure the extension plate to the CRP2 pedal base with M12x20 screws, following MOZA's instructions.

Extension Plate or mBooster Base Plate?

The Extension Plate ($35) adds one mBooster to an existing CRP2 base. The mBooster Base Plate ($119) is a separate steel base for new layouts and setups with up to three mBoosters.

Does the mBooster plus CRP2 setup fit in a compact cockpit?

Traxion.gg measured the full mBooster package at nearly 500 mm deep on the pedal base and advises checking space in tight cockpits before buying.

Is the extension plate included with the mBooster?

No. It is sold separately; MOZA US lists it at $35 (down from $39). Traxion.gg also describes it as an optional, separately sold part.
