MOZA CM2 HD Racing Dash

5" 1280x720 touchscreen dash with RGB shift and flag lights for MOZA bases

Description

The MOZA CM2 HD Racing Dash is a 5-inch touchscreen sim racing dashboard that sits on top of a MOZA wheel base, behind the steering wheel, and shows gear, RPM, lap times, fuel and tire data.

Display. The 5" capacitive touchscreen runs at 1280 x 720 and 60 Hz with 16.7 million colors, driven by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It replaces the 800 x 480 panel of the original CM dash. Tapping the screen switches dashboard pages.

Lights. Ten RGB shift lights run across the top and three RGB flag lights sit on each side, with color, brightness and activation RPM set per LED.

Build and mounting. The rear housing is aluminum alloy on a high-strength steel mount. It weighs about 800 g and measures about 148 × 30 × 91 mm. The bracket bolts to the front mounting holes of MOZA bases with four height positions; 50 mm hole spacing and included foam pads allow other mounting solutions.

Connection and software. It connects through the dashboard port of a MOZA base via RJ11, or directly to a PC over USB-C. Dashboards, LED behavior and brightness are set in MOZA Pit House, which includes premade layouts and a drag-and-drop editor. SimHub is not supported.

Driving style

The CM2 suits MOZA base owners on PC whose wheel has no screen, such as the CS V2P, KS or RS V2, and who want gear, RPM, deltas and fuel in view. It works for GT and endurance racing in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assetto Corsa, where touch page switching helps check fuel and tires, and reviewers liked it as a large gear and shift-light display in Richard Burns Rally and for ETS2 navigation pages. Le Mans Ultimate support was partial at review time.

Best for MOZA owners who want a tidy plug-in dash with minimal setup; less suited for SimHub users who want custom dashboards, owners of non-MOZA bases or anyone whose wheel already has a display.

Build quality

Mid-range build

The CM2 uses an aluminum alloy rear housing on a high-strength steel mount, with a 5" capacitive touchscreen and RGB LEDs that show no light bleed between enclosures, according to TweakTown. Reviewers describe it as compact, solid and easy to install. Weak points are practical rather than material: no power switch and a side-mounted USB-C port.

Software

The CM2 is configured in MOZA Pit House on Windows PC, which loads premade and community dashboards, offers a drag-and-drop editor with layers, and sets RPM LED colors, flag LED behavior, brightness and standby time. Pit House must stay open while the dash is in use, and one reviewer found the dashboard designer partly untranslated.

SimHub does not support the CM2, so SimHub dashboards cannot be used. Console support is not listed by MOZA; game data comes through Pit House telemetry on PC for titles such as Assetto Corsa, ACC, F1, Project CARS 2 and DiRT Rally 2.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MOZA CM2 dash work with SimHub?

No. Reviewers at Traxion, TweakTown and BoxThisLap all note the CM2 has no SimHub support; dashboards and LEDs are managed only in MOZA Pit House. SimHub users who want their own dashboards usually pick a generic screen instead.

Which wheel bases is the MOZA CM2 compatible with?

MOZA says the CM2 fits all MOZA wheel bases, connecting by RJ11 to the base's dashboard port and mounting to its front holes. It can also connect directly to a PC by USB-C, and the 50 mm hole spacing or included foam pads allow other mounts, but BoxThisLap found USB mode unstable and recommends it mainly for MOZA base owners.

Does the MOZA CM2 work on Xbox or PlayStation?

MOZA lists PC via USB and Pit House and does not mention console support. Dash data comes from Pit House telemetry on a Windows PC, so plan on PC use only.

How readable is the CM2 screen while driving?

Reviewers describe the 1280 x 720 panel as sharp with strong contrast and little glare, readable in bright rooms and quick enough for fast RPM changes. Screen and LED brightness are adjustable in Pit House.

Are there known issues with the MOZA CM2?

Reported drawbacks include no physical power switch (only a standby timer), no wheel button to change pages, a side-mounted USB-C port, unstable USB mode in one 2025 test, and Pit House needing to stay open. Dashboard choice is limited and Le Mans Ultimate support was partial at review time.

What is the difference between the MOZA CM2 and the original CM dash?

The CM2 raises resolution from 800 x 480 to 1280 x 720, adds a touchscreen, uses a redesigned curved chassis and adds RGB flag lights alongside the shift lights. It shares its software platform with the MOZA FSR2 wheel's display.

What warranty does the MOZA CM2 have?

MOZA's store lists up to 24 months of warranty protection and a 14-day return policy for the CM2 HD Racing Dash.

Is the MOZA CM2 worth $199?

TweakTown scored it 89% and called it good value for a well-rounded dash, and Traxion sees it as worthwhile for MOZA base owners who need a screen. Both point out that SimHub-compatible screens at a similar price offer more customization, and it adds little if your wheel already has a display.
