Frequently asked questions

What can I mount on the Universal Mounting Plate?

A shifter and a handbrake side by side. MOZA says it fits MOZA units and selected Fanatec, Simagic and Conspit shifters and handbrakes, in left- or right-hand layouts.

How do I attach it to a desk?

It needs a clamp sold separately; MOZA names the Flight Base Table Clamp, and sells both together as the Desktop Shifter & Handbrake Mounting Bundle. It also bolts to 40-series aluminum profile or DIY frames.

Is the plate sturdy?

MOZA store buyers describe it as strong and a good fit for manual shifters and handbrakes. It is high-strength steel and weighs 1.3 kg.

Can I adjust the height or handbrake angle?

The handbrake mount has three angles in 9-degree steps, and with the clamp the mounting surface height ranges from 84 to 122 mm. One buyer wished it sat lower.

Plate alone or the Desktop Mounting Bundle?

The plate alone ($29) suits profile rigs. For a desk, the $69 bundle adds the Flight Base Table Clamp.

What warranty does it have?

MOZA lists up to 24 months of warranty protection and a 14-day return policy.

Is it worth $29?

It is an inexpensive way to group a shifter and handbrake on one stable plate.
