Driving style

The G29 is the classic first wheel for Gran Turismo 7, F1 25 and EA SPORTS WRC on PlayStation and for Assetto Corsa, ACC and BeamNG.drive on PC. Its gear drive gives clear but coarse feedback.

Best for beginners who want an affordable, reliable PlayStation wheel; less suited for drivers who want fine feedback detail, where TRUEFORCE (G923) or direct drive (RS50) are the upgrades.

Build quality

Entry-level build

Anodized aluminum spokes, hand-stitched leather, a steel shaft with steel ball bearings, stainless paddles and pedal faces, and cold-rolled steel pedal frames. Wheel 2.25 kg, pedals 3.1 kg. Logitech highlights long-lasting reliability; the housing is plastic.

Software

On PC it uses Logitech G HUB for rotation, sensitivity and button mapping. On PlayStation it is plug-and-play in supported games. It needs a powered USB port.

G29 or G923?

Both share the 900° gear-driven design and three pedals; the G923 adds TRUEFORCE, closed-loop motor control and a progressive brake, and lists at $349.99 for console versions versus $299.99 for the G29.

Can I reuse G29 pedals with a direct drive base?
